Business Software Development

A point-of-sale, invoicing, and reporting system for Organic Resource Management, Inc. in Florissant, MO

In July 2002, my hardware/software package was installed at ORMI and began handling the company's >$1M annual sales, maintenance logging, and reporting. Since then the package has expanded to handle all of the company's invoicing, include improved reporting capabilities, with a purchase order tracking system currently in development. The system, which currently entails well over 25,000 lines of Microsoft Visual C++ code and runs under Microsoft Windows XP Professional, uses 3rd-party database functionality to provide up-to-date information at the retail/production facility and at the home office where billing and accounting take place. Running for nearly 2 1/2 years with virtually no unscheduled downtime, the custom-developed system provides the flexible and reliable functionality that the company needs to conduct business, maintain outstanding accounts, analyze revenues, and make decisions for the future.
